BARRET (see Barrett), Ruth Ann, w. William Savery (s. Thomas and Joanna (second w.) of Plymouth), d. William and Ruth of Plymouth, Feb. 17, 1816, in Plymouth.

If so, then we may now know for whom our William (Clarissa's son) was named.

Also, though all the other children were listed, son Benjamin, was not listed. ]

Hello All,

Seeking ancestry of Clarissa B. Barrett, born 14 May 1814 in Plymouth,
Massachusetts. Married to Edward Marshall Haley about 1830. According
to 1880 Census, her father was born in Ireland and her mother was born in
Massachusetts.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Hi Bea and Erin,

Unfortunately I do not have the names of her parents or siblings. Info
from the 1860 census tells me that Clarissa's father was born in Ireland.

A Barret (with the single T) born around the same time as Clarissa is
Ruth Ann (wife of William Savery and daughter of William and Ruth Barret
of Plymouth). Ruth Ann was born 17 Feb 1816 in Plymouth, a little less
than 2 years after Clarissa. So the possibility that Ruth is her sister,
thus making William and Ruth her parents is there.

But I have not found anything to link them yet.

I do notice Barretts/Barrets born in Bridgewater, East Bridgewater,
Abington and Hingham are among the Plymouth County records as well, but I
haven't looked at them just yet.
