From NEHGS Register Vol. 4; pg. 46: Samuel5 Bradford (William4-1) He was called Lieut. Samuel5 Bradford, and lived about a third of a mile N.E. from the mouth of Island Creek. His name appears on the records of Duxbury as early as 1700, when he was chosen as a juryman; constable 1701; selectman 1702; and in 1710 one of three men appointed to divide the Common Lands.
Samuel married Hannah Rogers, daughter of John Rogers and Elizabeth Pabodie, on 31 Jul 1689 in Duxbury, Plymouth, Plymouth Bay Colony.1 (Hannah Rogers was born on 16 Nov 1668 in Duxbury, Plymouth, Plymouth Colony and died on 5 Nov 1754 in Hingham, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay Colony.)
