Ancestrial Photo Gallery... (aged at least fifty years)

Welcome to our family treasures...

these photos are truly precious.

This site will be under constant construction...!

Every time you visit and on every page,

Please be sure to hit "F5"

or "refresh" on your browser menu,

to ensure that you see the latest updates...

My apologies for the inconvenience,

but it will be worth it...

if you are interested in our family....:)

Since ours is a large family,

eventually there will be several pages...

one for each family's maiden and surnames.

At that time, this page will display

one representative photo that will link

to that individual's page of photos.

Update notice.... that time has come... :)

Sooner than I expected!

Please read the captions

beneath the photos,

as I am in the process of linking

them to another page

where I will present some

information about them

and additional photos... or ....

look for their name on the menu.... :)

Thanks to the invaluable assistance of

John Duncan and his family history,

"We All Are Margaret Haldane's Bairns,"

I have started transcribing

some of the family trees

and/or histories...

I have the Duncan's of

Australia, Canada and Scotland up for review,

Minus the known current living data,

except where authorization has been granted.

Family members ONLY,

can email Mo at Jezzmo,

if they would like to review the current information...:)

Just click on the appropriate group photos below...

One for the Duncans of Australia

and One for the Duncans of Scotland.

At the moment, we do not have

photos specifically for our Canadian Duncans,

However, both of the other two Duncan Family pages,

have a link at the end of them,

which will take you to the Canadian Duncans...

to whom I apologize for this shortcoming.... :)

As to the photos,
I am displaying as many as I can,
because I just love them!

How they will be presented may change,

but as I am just relearning html,

this is the first go at sharing them!

The future will yield

a more attractive venue... I promise...

I dare not 'play' with the photos,

because it becomes time consuming

and addictive, and will keep me

off track from getting as much information

up as quickly as I can... which is the prime objective...

Later I can spruce things up... :)

If anyone has old family photo's,

at least 50 years old,

and would like to see them

displayed here, please, please,

please contact me,

as I would love to add them.

Thanks to many contributions,

Our Gallery of Ancestors is Growing!

I love them all and

intend to come back at a later date,

to frame all of these so they will be "purdy"....

Until then, I do consider these to be precious,

just the way they are,

and worth the down load time.

I hope you enjoy them, as much as I do..... Mo

Elizabeth A. Clements (1929), my adorable Mother, "Betty" in a professional, yet awesomely candid shot.

Elizabeth A. Clements, about 1943, from adorable toddler to the butterfly of a beautiful teenager, my Mom...:)

This handsome ladd is my Maternal Grandfather, George Cravin Clements, about 15 years old...probably just before he entered the Massachusetts Nautical School, during WWI, at age 16... graduating at age 18, to become the youngest graduate on record ! :) ~ Shared by his son, Junior...:)

My beautiful Maternal Grandmother, Beulah Madelon (McLaine) Clements, daughter of William E. and Lizzy (Emery) McLaine. Sadly, Grandmother became widowed far too early and married Francis Gray, to begin a whole new family of four sons. This photo was taken about 1943.

This is my Beautiful Paternal Great Grand Mother, Jessie Smith (Young) Stewart and Great Grandfather, Edward Archibald Stewart. The occassion for the photo, taken in Glasgow, Scotland, was their 25th Wedding Anniversary ~ 1893 ~ Shared by Cousin David Nicholson. :)

This is a less than happy young Edward A. Stewart, who became estranged from his father, John Stewart, by breaking from the Tailoring tradition, to pursue his interests, in the sea and in the printing industry. ~ Another precious gift of sharing, by J.B. Robinson...:)

CLICK ON THIS to go to the Cahoon Album..and see these boys' Grandfather and Grandmother, Alphons "Fon" and Martha "Mattie" Cahoon! This was taken about 1922 and I believe it originally came from Louie's daughter, Valerie... thanks cousin! :)

Robert Lee Foudray, son of Edward L. and Lillian Foudray. In Oklahoma abt. 1934... A boy, his bike, and his boots. "Bob" is my daughters' Paternal Grandfather and we loved him dearly... ~ photo shared by his wife, Majorie and their grand daughter, Erin Walsh..:)

Susannah (Moore) Stewart, b. abt. 1861, daughter of John and Margaret (Ward) Moore and wife of John Stewart b. 1860, (son of John and Mary M. Stewart) , taken about 1905. Prior to marriage, Susannah was a professional umbrella coverer... This photo was shared with John Duncan, by our Canadian Cousin, Susan LeBlanc. John in turn shared it with Jezzmo. Thank you both for sharing!

My Paternal Great Grandfather's brother, John "Jack" Stewart. back of photo says: John Stewart-age around 50 ... so abt. 1910, as John was born in Glasgow, Scotland abt. 1860. He waxed his mustache... :) John moved his family to Canada. This photo was shared with John Duncan, by our Canadian Cousin, Susan LeBlanc. John in turn shared it with Jezzmo. Thank you both for sharing!

John Stewart, Journeyman Tailor probably at this time, as he is pretty young here. John is my, and all those of Stewart descentant of my generation's, Great-Great-Grandfather, son of Charles and Margaret (Haldane) Stewart; husband of Agnes McCulloch, first, and then of Mary McMillian. ~ Shared by Coz John B. Robinson...:)

This photo is also shared by Coz John B. Robinson, who believes this is John Stewart's eldest son, Charles Stewart, who also became a Master Tailor, and who immigrated to Salt Lake City, Utah, as a relunctant Mormon, sadly with a drinking problem. He can be traced only for a short time there and then seems to have disappeared.

The Foudray Family about 1940?... Edward L. & Lillian, with Robert L. and little brother, Danny... or maybe Jerry.... shared by The Foudrays... :)

The Three Foudray Brothers, Robert Lee, Jerry (center) and Danny...not sure if they are in Oklahoma or Texas, at this point.

My Beautiful Paternal Grandmother, Mary Moss McMillan (Stewart) Cahoon Karsen....not sure when this was taken? ~ Photo shared by Cousin Connie (Cahoon) Wagner...:)

Annie (Archibald) McColl, daughter of Margaret (Haldane) and James Archibald, wife of Alexander McColl. ~ Photo shared by Cousin John Duncan, of Australia. :)

This is my Great-Great-Grandfather, Mastor Tailor, John Stewart's Family.... this updated image is compliments of our cousin, John B. Robinson, of Chesterfield, England, who believes the photo was taken late 1877 or early 1878, and based on comparsons of other family photos, has deduced they are as follows: 1. Charles Stewart, 2. Christina Stewart , 3. John Stewart , 4. Isabella Stewart , 5.John MacKenzie , 6. Mary MacKenzie Nee Stewart 7. Janet (Jessie) MacKenzie (JR's Grandmother who married Albert Gray) , 8. Stewart MacKenzie , 9. Jessie(Janet) (Smith) Stewart holding baby, John Caldwell Stewart , 10. Edward Archibald Stewart ( Mo's Great Grandfather), Family Heads, 11. John Stewart and 12. Mary Stewart ( nee McMillan). We are still investigating who #13 and #14 might be, but as of May 2007 we are of the mind that they are Annie Archibald (nee Stewart) and Alexander Colburn... Thank you J.R. !!!

"Betty" & "Eddie" Cahoon, about 1948... I could have 'cleaned' this image up, alot, but it is in its state because this is the photo my father carried in his wallet, until the day he died.
