This site is a work in progress..... :)
Dear Friends and Family,
Merry Month of May for Everyone...
Thanks for checking in... :)
Up front, I warn you....
This site is a work in progress,
It is no where near,
being what it will be....:)
but I did work on it:
the 28th - 30th of April 2008...
to update an already transcribed chapter,
of John Duncan's
We are all Margaret Haldane's Bairns,
Chapter 8
Thanks to our Wee Scottish Cousin,
Fiona (nee Stafford) Hesketh,
Great-Grand Daughter of
James & Elizabeth (nee McMillan) Duncan,
who has found us and
graciously shared with us,
some wonderful contributions,
to the Duncan History,
and for which we should all
Be Pleased to Appreciate! :)
Last month, I added
a link to introduce,
a newly found Australian Cousin,
Ailsa Hunt,
who is also a Bairn,
of Scotland's Margaret Haldane.
Ailsa, descends from
Margaret's daughter,
Annie [nee Archibald] McColl,
who also was born in Scotland,
as daughter of
Shoemaker, James Archibald.
Ailsa and Lindsay Hunt,
have started a new website,
and I hope you visit them too!
Ailsa was named for Ailsa Craig,
as loving sentiment of her mother,
and translated from the Gaelic,
according to one source as:
"Faeryland Rock"...:)
and though she has her own site title,
I am affectionately dubbing her link,
that way...
Be sure to "F5" or "refresh"... : )
I also updated our Surname List...
I added a photo album featuring
my daughter, Jessee Foudray.
I would normally not do this,
but she and her friends
have already shared these
photos all over the net.
I am very proud of
both of my daughters. :)
My eldest, Erin Walsh,
is a gorgeous woman;
wonderful daughter;
devoted wife of three years;
substitute teacher,
while continuing her education
to become a full time teacher;
a supervisor at a
nationwide "coffee shop",
and brand-new parent!
My youngest,
Jessee Foudray,
can be seen
in my new photo album,
"As You Like It."
Jess is multi-talented,
like her sister,
and I look forward to seeing
what she gets into next... :)
More NEWS:
I recently discovered
that on my maternal line
one of our ancestors was actually
accused,
imprisoned,
tried,
convicted and
executed, by hanging,
on the 22nd of August, 1692 !!
You guessed it,
in Salem, Massachusetts,
ONE OF OUR OWN,
was victimized and murdered
by the maddness
of the Salem Witch Trials!
I hope to have more to share
in the not so terribly distant future,
regarding Margaret Stevenson Scott.
I apologize for having
the three speedsof a ruptured turtle,
slow, slower, and laid out..
but those are my speeds,
these days... :)
I am pulled in three directions:
Playing here all day...
Researching all day...
Putting all the data together...
Soooo..... Obviously,
nothing is getting done,
near as quickly,
as it should.... heeheee
But, each is making progress,
believe it or not...
To see the most recent updates,
on every page and every visit,
Tap your F5 key or
click on "Refresh" View... :)
The good news is
that the surname list of our direct
and extended family members,
is really, really growing! :)
Thanks to Cousin John Duncan,
the Original Compiler of:
"We All Are Margaret Haldane's Bairns,"
We have access to many
of our Family Histories!
With respect and appreciation,
for his contribution of sharing,
I have first transcribed
the Duncan Families,
Of Australia,
Scotland and Canada... :)
Others will follow... :)
I am eternally Grateful to the following:
Cousin David Nicholson
Son of
Anne (Stewart) and Harold Nicholson,
whose early tree inspired me.
To my Archival Angel,
Genealogist Deborah Robertson
of Glasgow Scotland,
who has found so much Stewart
Data for me to share with my family.
To Cousin Cynthia McAdoo,
daughter of
Phyllis (Nicholson) Gifford
and my Uncle George Clements,
for sharing photos and
for introducing me to
her Uncle David Nicholson and
to our Uncle Donald Gray,
as well as to our Scottish born,
Australian Cousin, John Duncan
who has shared "...Bairns, "
delightful articles he has written,
family photos and through whom,
I have met
so many new Cousins,
such as John B.Robinson of England,
and Margaret
Waterfall of Texas.
Also very special thank yous,
to two recently discovered
cousins through the
Haley and Cahoon lines:
They are:
Wendy L. Hawksley, my beloved new
cousin, through the Haleys, who currently resides in Delaware, though originally of MA,
and Duane Reynolds, also originally from MA, but now firmly settled
in the freshness of Colorado, who is my cousin through the Cahoon/Reynolds connection...:)

Cousin Wendy is an avid Genealogist and has provided us, the information on our shared Haley connection, which takes us back almost two hundred years to Dublin, Ireland!
She has also produced a book on the American Haley generations, which is available for purchase, for a modest fee which basically covers the costs of production. Although I will be providing the Haley information here on the site, I highly recommend the purchase, so you can have a hard copy version, if you are related to Alphonse "Fons" and Martha "Mattie" Lenora (Haley) Cahoon!
Wendy has also graciously researched and shared our triple-link back to the Mayflower, via the Fullers and the Howlands!
I am also indebted to Malcolm "Mac" Jackson, of Maine, who has recently provided me information, on my maternal line, the McLaines, which takes us back again, to Scotland, to 1736! Thank you Mac, for your kindness and sharing!
I am so grateful to All of the above
and to all of our Poets,
for sharing PRECIOUS TREASURES,
for me to share with you... :)
THANK YOU ALL, SO VERY MUCH!
