Where To Look

My mouth is opening to speak…
Yet there isn’t any sound
Every where I look today
I see sadness, all around.
Groping for the words within
Yet comfort is not there.
Life, today, seems so unfair.
One always questions why
And answers are unknown.
The senselessness of it all,
With Man’s sinful plight now grown.
Hope from Man is futile.
Elsewhere we all must look.
Answers I have found.
Altogether, in my big black book.
I turn its pages, worn so thin
To find the answers there
And as a beacon in the storm
It guides me with each and every care.
Looking to this beacon strong
To teach me day by day
For then, and only then,
Will I really find the Way.
Maps and books are in abundance
To guide the woman and the man
Yet many miss what’s in The Book
With its message Oh, so grand.
Let’s share this message loud and clear
To all whose heart is right.
Then stand before our God and King
And never leave His sight...
