My Wealthy Daughter

If you have the time to listen,
There's a story I'd like to tell.
Of a proud and lovely lady,
And the man with whom she chose to dwell.
She's a fine example
Of what womanhood is about.
She chose her man years ago,
And there were times she went without.
But no one worked harder
Than this guy that stole her heart.
He didn't have to try hard,
She nailed him from the start.
Better times came their way,
And faith and love grew strong.
One by one children came
And life became a song.
Wealth comes in many forms,
And theirs the better kind.
Six children raised with pride,
The mother lode of riches was their find.
The family is everything,
And they found what they always knew.
Now there are grandchildren
To add to the brew. ~ George C. Clements
