The Size of The American Flag

How big is the American Flag,
A small boy asked his dad.
His father thought for a moment.
This is what he told the lad.
The American Flag is as big
As your pride in this land,
How much you love your country,
Your belief is what makes it grand.
As you get older,
You will learn to know,
It is what we call freedom,
That makes "Old Glory" so.
It's an emblem and a symbol
Of a home that is free.
Our mountains, rivers, trees, and flowers,
Everything from sea to shining sea.
It's size is the courage of it's defenders,
And the sacrifices that are made.
May "Old Glory" wave forever,
May our freedom never fade.. ~ George C. Clements
