I want to go awandering,
To places where life's a different theme.
I want to meet people
Only seen in books and dream.
Go to places real and legend
That tell of wonders of our past.
I want to stand in places
Where history was cast.
Learn how and where the ancients lived.
Send my mind back in time,
And understand what it took
To make this world that's yours and mine.
Travel the ways of Drake and Marco Polo,
Living their life long quest.
Their challengers, hazards, and adventures,
And yet they carried on with zest.
This spark is in all of us,
To some it's not their claim.
But for the rest, it's an obsession,
They must ignite the flame. ~ George C. Clements
